This seminar, led by a representative of the Mississippi Department of Revenue, will include an Introduction on Sales Tax: Levies, Returns and Filing, and Exemptions; Use Tax; Casual Sales Tax; Industry-Specific Sales Tax; Contractor's Tax; and more. This seminar will be a great opportunity to get the latest Sales and Use Tax information directly from the Department of Revenue.

Links to the e-materials will be listed with your course registration in your account on the MSCPA website seven calendar days before the course. You will receive an e-mail when the materials are available.

If you request printed materials, they will be available for pick up at the registration desk on the date of the class. The option to request printed materials is only available up to 5 business days prior to the course date. Walk-in registrants and those registering between 1 and 5 days before the course will be sent an electronic link to the e-materials by default. “Extra” printed course materials will not be available on site. Printed materials are not available for conferences.

1993 – Completed Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Mississippi State University) 1994 – Completed Master's Degree in Accounting –Tax Emphasis (Mississippi State University) 1994 – 1996 Began working for the State Tax Commission as a casino auditor responsible for completing compliance audits of casino gaming revenue tax and gaming withholding tax. 1996 – 1997 Spent one year auditing sales and use tax. 1997 – 2002 Assisted auditors with audits of taxpayers through electronic audit methods. 2002 – 2006 Deputy Director of the Sales and Use Tax Bureau 2006 – Current Director of the Sales and Use Tax Bureau Teaching Experience: Accounting Principles – 2 semesters - Tougaloo College Corporate Tax – 1 semester – Mississippi College
