Michael A. Carraway

Michael A. Carraway Jr., CPA is a principal of GranthamPoole PLLC, headquartered in Ridgeland. Mike has almost twenty-three years of experience in working with businesses, owners, and executives in the areas of federal and state income tax, mergers and acquisitions, structuring, and strategic planning in such industries as manufacturing, construction, real estate, engineering, law, medicine, and technology. Graduating summa cum laude as a Taylor Medalist with a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree at Ole Miss in 1994, he went on to earn a Master of Accountancy with Tax Emphasis in 1995, also at Ole Miss. Having practiced in Big Six/Big Four/national firms for many years, Mike has worked with GranthamPoole since 2014. He has spoken and taught in many venues over the years and is an active member of both the AICPA and the MSCPA, having previously served as a member of the Taxation Committee with the latter. He is also a past board member and chairman of the Mississippi Tax Institute.

Steven Chiavarone, CFA is responsible for portfolio management and research in the global asset allocation area and is VP/Portfolio Manager/Equity Strategist of Federated Global Allocation Fund in New York, New York. Steve is responsible for the formulation of Federated Hermes’ views on the economy, the fi nancial markets, and the fi rm’s investment positioning strategies as a member of both the Macro Economic Policy and the PRISM Asset Allocation committees. Steve is also responsible for bringing macroeconomic, investment strategy and product knowledge directly to clients in collaboration with the sales team.

Bradley Leggett is the owner of Accelerated Cost Recovery Solutions (ACRS) and has over twenty-five years experience in the collections, construction, architecture, cost recovery industry, and cost segregation fields, working with thousands of clients and helping them achieve the best advantages for their companies, saving their hard earned cash-flow. Bradley started out in the architectural and construction field doing projects for department stores, office buildings, manufacturing companies, colleges, restaurants, and many medical and surgical hospitals, across the country. While gaining knowledge in those fields, he decided to move into the business of consulting and cost segregation studies. By making this move, he was able to further save his clients money in multiple ways. Over the years he has developed an extensive network of contacts with CPAs, engineers, business owners, and other cost segregation professionals. After working and learning in the cost segregation industry for many years nationwide, he decided it was time to start his own company around ten years ago. He consulted directly with the IRS to learn the standards of how they wanted tax studies performed. He works very closely with the CPA community, banking community, commercial building community, and collections community to always have the highest standards of new opportunities for his clients. He took start up companies from local businesses to nationwide enterprises, producing millions of dollars for them as well as their clients. He continually expands his knowledge and believes in helping his clients obtain the best return on their money. He routinely conducts continuing education seminars on cost segregation topics and recovery programs to improve cash-flow. Mr. Leggett continues to maintain loyalty from clients that he has serviced in the banking, credit union, medical, manufacturing, professional, and commercial construction fields. Through these consultations, Mr. Leggett has developed a method of doing the cost segregation studies and section 179D energy tax studies along with other tax and recovery solutions that will bring the greatest opportunity for maximizing his clients and CPAs clients return on their investments.
