The option to request printed materials is only available up to 5 business days prior to the course date. Walk-in registrants and those registering between 1 and 5 days before the course will be sent an electronic link to the e-materials by default. “Extra” printed course materials will not be available on site. Printed materials are not available for conferences.
Vanessa B. Claiborne
Ms. Claiborne has been with Chaffe & Associates, Inc. since 1987 and was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in 2009. She also serves as the Managing Director for the Valuation Advisory group. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has received her designation as an Accredit Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers. She holds Securities Licenses 79, 24, 27, and 63. Ms. Claiborne is Accredited in Estate Planning by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor by the Exit Planning Institute.
Ms. Claiborne specializes in business valuation services primarily for estate, gift, and income taxes, Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), GAAP fair value reporting, financial reporting, corporate planning, litigation support including expert testimony, exit planning, and shareholder transactions and restructuring.
Nene G. Gianfala
Ms. Gianfala is a Vice President of the Valuation Advisory group with 12 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, and business valuations. She joined Chaffe & Associates, Inc. as a Financial Analyst Intern in June 2007, and upon completion of the internship, joined the company. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV), Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CEIV), and an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuations with a specialty in Intangible Assets (ASA-BV/IA) by the American Society of Appraisers. Ms. Gianfala performs intellectual property and intangible asset valuations for purchase price allocations, impairment testing, internal intangible asset management, portfolio valuation and litigation support. Ms. Gianfala provides business valuation services to public and private companies for estate, gift and income tax planning, financial reporting, corporate planning, employee stock ownership plans and litigation.
James A. Koerber
James (Jim) A. Koerber, CPA/ABV/CFF is a shareholder in The Koerber Company, P.A., and is responsible for valuation and litigation services for attorneys, CPAs, and their clients. Koerber has over 40 years of experience in public accounting.
Koerber attended Mississippi State University (Banking and Finance) and Louisiana State University (Accounting) and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. He is Accredited in Business Valuation (receiving the 2013 Accredited in Business Valuation Champion of the Year Award) and Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As for professional organizations, Jim is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics, the American Academy of Economic & Financial Experts, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (including past Chairman of the Business Valuation and Litigation Services Committee), the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (including past Chairman of the Litigation Services Committee), the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (including the Forensic & Valuation Services Section). Koerber has qualified as an expert witness in state courts in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas and United States District Court in Mississippi.

Robert practices exclusively in the areas of business valuation, divorce litigation support, commercial and personal injury economic damage calculations, forensic investigations and expert witness testimony. Robert has authored many national and regional articles on these topics and speaks regularly for the TN Bar Assoc., TN Attorney’s Memo, AICPA, NACVA, American Bar Assoc. and many other private organizations. He has been admitted and testified as an expert over ninety times in federal and state courts.
Kevin R.
